Mission Statement 

Bracher School is a professional learning community. Through collaboration and high expectations Bracher will provide a rigorous academic program with a focused approach. It is our intent and belief that all students can and will succeed.

Teaching and learning occurs in an engaging, empowering, collaborative manner where successes are celebrated. 

Staff and students are positive, caring, and have high expectations. All members work with the belief that every child can learn.

The Governing Board of Santa Clara Unified School District is committed to equal opportunity for all individuals. The District prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying based actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation or association with a person or a group with one or more of these perceived or actual characteristics. The Board shall promote programs which ensure that discriminatory practices are eliminated in all acts related to school activity or school attendance within a school under the jurisdiction of the superintendent of the school district.

The District requires that school personnel take immediate steps to intervene when it is safe to do so and when he or she witnesses an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying.

Communication

We are committed to frequent two-way communication with families about children’s learning.

Some of the ways parents and teachers communicate all year are:

  • Weekly homework folders Monthly “check-in”.   
  • Updates on our Web site & grades class meetings. 
  • Monthly emails (make sure the front office has your email address).
  • Parent-teacher conferences in September and March or when parents request to schedule one. 
  • Home visits & Interpretation/Translation services available as needed.
  • English Learner Support and Assessment Technician provide orientation and information to families.
